Honorable Minister for Urban Administration and Development, Babulal Gaur and Mayor Ms Krishna Gaur along with BMC Commissioner Manish Singh, and officials of MPSEB, PWD and BMC visited the proposed construction site of over bridge and other areas like Rahul Nagar, Pampapur, Nehru Nagar, Bapu Nagar, Link Road Number 2.

Shri Gaur directed the officials to discuss with the officials of Railway and solve the problems. They also visited the slums of Rahul Nagar, Pampapur, MACT etc. Temporary land has been provided near Bharat Scouts and Guide Office, Shyamla Hills for them.

It is mentioned that around 1200 families are residing in the areas. Around 1836 flats will be built under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renovation Mission (JNNURM). The cost of the construction work has been estimated to Rs 36 crore.

Construction work of 960 quarters has already been approved under this project and work order has been issued. The construction work has been started soon. Bapu Nagar (Haat Bazar) will be shifted from main road. During visit, Additional Commissioner of BMC Arvind Bedekar, City Engineer (Project) MM Garg, AK Nanda, Vice-chairman of Madhya Pradesh Sports Council OM Yadav, Corporator Kishan Suryavanshi, Ms Santosh Kasana, Ms Kaushalya Rajak, Ms Sandhya Jat, former Corporator Krishnakant Chaurasia, Rammohan Sahu, Ms Vandana Parihar, Ms Sushma Sahu, Ms Shivmani Maran and large number of officials from various departments were also present.
